I haven't done much woodwork, but I have done some tool restoration projects. I posted a thread about it on DIY a year ago or so to showcase my work, but it gained very little traction.
Woodwork looks like fun, but I'm a smaller-scale artisan. I've made things like custom guitar picks and swords, tonfas, etc.

If teaching is really what you want to do i would stick with that. Trades aren't for everyone and at the end of the day you want to find a job your going to enjoy doing because you are going to spend a good chunk of your life at work. Just my advice.
