Marxism is just a framework of sort.
It does formalize how illegitimate the economic exploitation of workers by the capital owners is (when the workers do not have real economic freedom). This is common sense and accepted by pretty much everyone. All capitalist western nations have systems to prevent it to some extent. They are incorporate certain Marxist principles.
But Marxism as a whole is completely hostile to capital ownership (and productive free markets as a whole). It's a completely different way to look at economics. It logically only leads to (classical) anarchist/statist socialists or communism.

Conversely, Marxists only focus on the 10% that is good about Marxism, and ignore the 90% that is bad. That's how they come to the conclusion that capitalism is bad and Marxism is good, because of this extremely biased focus.
If you were to take a rational analysis of the cost-benefit ratio of both systems, you would find that capitalism is 10% bad/90% good, and Marxism is 90% bad/10% good.
