Could anyone explain me what's with all the Donald Trump hype? I know he isn't Hillary and all that, but why would anyone would consider a good thing to vote a government crony who made a fortune out of eminent domain abuse? He's literally all the establishment stands for, except he is part of the corporate establishment, not the governmental one. Trump is a different flavor of shit, noticeably less stinky and without traces of blood, but still shit.

All his appeal is reduced to identity politics, and every small group of Trump supporters is merely projecting theirs on whatever generalized inanity Trump says. Traditionalists, paleoconservatives, ethnonationalists and many other groups they all believe Trump is gonna force onto the population whatever identity politics policies they all believe in, even though they're all incompatible to a large extent. I understand Trump may be perceived as the less harmful option, but why does most people at /pol/ get so mad when they are remembered all the above? Where has gone all the criticism? Don't you people realize that Trump is just spouting whatever that sounds good to the great part of the public that is tired of the PC censorship without much consistency?

Legit Trump criticism thread?

>notably less stinky
So the better option then. Thanks for agreeing.
>>

Because he makes SJWs chimp-out. That's my reason, fuck libshits, the only good one is a dead one.
>>
>>74169134
He is the conduit through which all meme magic flows. He's a walking ley line.
>>
>>74169134
It's cute that you think Hillary isn't a corporate shill. She might even be WORSE than The Don there.
>>
>>74169134
Also considering how he's a master salesman, it's difficult to believe his message.
The one thing I cane take from Bernie is his consistency. Commie's been spouting the same stuff for decades

Bernie really is the most earnest, and also the most deluded.

You would think an intelligent person would be able to come up with a stronger argument than, "I just want to murder people who disagree with me, is that really wrong?" But, this is 4chan.

Hillary would go full merkel and fuck up our country. Trump Leans more towards isolationism which is what our country needs right now. The monkey in the white house is pushing hard to let shitskins into our country.

Gee, I wonder why /pol/ likes him so much?

Globalists and SJWs hate his guts, and they've been pretty frantic to stop him. That's a promising sign.

Do you believe bringing back factory jobs from China will help America?
>>

He's anti-PC and pissed a lot of people off. Naturally, /pol/ respects that.

Trump in the 90's would be considered a moderate democrat. No one is arguing this.

The democratic left has moved so far left in the past 10 years that now we have an admitted socialist/communist running for president. Hillary just promises more of what Obama has done for the past 8 years, just now with gun control, feminism, socialism, and *ism of the week to go around.

Since the goalposts have moved so much, even a moderate dem / populist like Trump is firmly in Republican territory now. Trump admittedly isn't perfect, but a better question is why Hillary is even a serious contender is something few people have been asking. The email thing is just icing on the cake of how bizarre this is, anyone else would be in court for possible treason by now.

Yeah, his casino's went bankrupt a few times, but compared to the slime oozing out of Hillary, or the insane communism preached by Sanders, Trump is the only comparatively sane choice. America really needs a Kennedy type figure that has a constitutional restoration agenda, but can play the political game enough to actually get the presidents chair. I'm not sure the political oligarchy would ever let it happen, though.

The thing is, Donald Trump as we know him now is possibly the most calculated and prefabricated political persona of our time.

Trump supporters like to attack Clinton on her flip-flopping positions, but do not themselves realize that Trump is just as bad or even worse.

Republicans have been wanting a wall since George W. Bush. Every person we elect into office doesn't do even try to make one. By gawd we're going to get that fucking wall whether or not it's beneficial or not.

To understand the phenomena of Trump, imagine democrats voting for Sanders, and he gets into office. Let's say he promises to get universal healthcare and to break up the big banks. Now imagine he doesn't do any of that. Imagine he doesn't even try to do anything. Doesn't sign any bills. Sleeps in until 1pm, just sits around doing nothing.

That's what's been happening to the Republican party since probably even before GWB. And at this point, Republicans don't care what'll happen. All they care is that Trump is 5 million megatons worth of TNT and is about to blow up the Republican party

The one thing Trump seems to be consistent about are his slightly isolationist tendencies and that he genuinely wants to stop America to waste a shitton of money on unnecessary wars. That's my main reason why I hope Trump wins. With Trump, there is at least a chance he will destroy ISIS and then leave Assad alone and let Russia, Iran and Syria take care of the Sunni extremists. With Hillary, she is guaranteed to topple Assad, install a Sunni regime in Syria and that will be the end of Europe as we know it.

It seriously blows my mind how many Europeans have such a strong anti-Trump sentiment. It must either be out of stupidity / ignorance or out of a genuine wish for the self-destruction of their nation.

>>
>>74173220

I think it'd be interesting to see how susceptible these PC groups are to active manipulation, You just need to convince them that 'moderate' policies that help society, would open up the door for tran-species-gender-queer-demikin-zoophilia, or whatever other SJW cause of the week would be. May as well have them do something useful.

Because Heute Show and Johnny Depp tell them to. And general pussification, so Trump seems too "extreme". It's not really that they are deeper thinkers and demand more complex ideas and profound information.

Don't know about the wars, but Trump has called out for higher military spending during some recent interview. BBC or NBC I think.
>>
>>74174031

I've only skimmed your link, but I would argue that the political landscape has changed significantly in the past four years since that book was written. Yes partizanship and party polarization IS an issue (I remember when the Republicans filibustered things left and right during Obama's 1st term, it was complete nonsense), but to call the dems "centrist protectors of status quo government" is laughable, when these same 'protectors' champion reforms that go against core american culture.

A simple example is again the SJW movement, many people with friends in SJW groups, even tangentially, risk social suicide if you dare to go against 'acceptable' values.

I think someone else posted here, or last night on another thread; Both parties are shadows of what they once were, and likely neither will survive the coming election. This is quite possible.

>It seriously blows my mind how many Europeans have such a strong anti-Trump sentiment
Cause they don't bother researching about the US presidential candidates, they don't bother actually learning about it. They just hear a few vague comments from clinically retarded people such as Jennifer Lawrence or the Muslim mayor of London, they hear some random person in the media call him a racist, xenophobe, sexist, etc etc and that's literally all it takes for them to hate him. They don't bother researching to see what makes him racist or sexist, they just immediately assume it's the truth and hate him for the rest of time.

Higher military spending (investing in the military) isn't a bad thing; it's the primary job of the federal govt. The problems are the endless wars and futile/fruitless nation building.

That's what Trump is talking about and that's what Americans care about.
>>
>>74172888
Fucking this. The tea party worked hard and got a lot of their people into office and nothing happened. Some of them like Rubio even became best friends with Republican establishment types.
>>
>>74169134
Issues Trump is most concerned about and most likely to have enacted in his first year (ie: worst case scenario):

>Adopt a more isolationist military policy.
>End cold war era military policies.
>Build a wall and deport illegals.
>Halt mudslime immigration.
>Renegotiate NAFTA and other weak trade deals.
>Balance trade deficit.

Less likely, but a cool bonus if he gets these done:

>End drug war, leaving enforcement to states.
>Audit the fed.
>balance the budget.
>renegotiate debt obligations and/or pay it down.
>repeal and/or end EPA bullshit over industry.
>reign in BLM.
>simplify taxes and reduce tax burden.
>work toward better relations with Russia.

All of the first section are ridiculously important to have done and accomplished; these are what I believe he genuinely wants to fix first, he's been talking about these issues for the better part of a decade too, so believe him. This is why he's popular, and these are the issues he most obviously cares about. The second section is just a bonus if he actually follows through on these secondary talking points he has made over the election.
