You could cover this pretty easily in a year if you're a NEET and with a little effort if you're not.

I realize it's an issue of willpower.
I've only known a couple of people throughout my life who I would consider to have had a serious natural inclination and they just impressed me to no end. That and I didn't put in the time over the years. I tend to cycle through interests and hobbies and only stick with things that come somewhat easily.
Maybe someday I'll find the motivation to pursue it more seriously, but for now I get very discouraged whenever I dip my toe in. It makes me respect the people that actually stuck with it over the years, as well as the people who are just naturally inclined.
