I remember reading something similar a while back. Not much to worry about right now, the idea is to let these robots (drones flying above some mudslime country) analyze the social network connections of terrorists to deduce the likelihood that someone is a terrorist. If all of your friends are known terrorists and you are in some terrorist facebook group chances are you are a terrorist and the drone will fuck you up.

Of course you can speculate from this that one day such drones can be turned upon the civilian population at home to keep them in line and obedient to the state, any signs of disobedience being stamped out by the network of unfeeling drones flying overhead, keeping tabs on your every movement and all of your online activities. Pretty dystopian honestly.

Question

Why can't we put a fail safe of somethings along those lines on Ai?

They could be intelligent but couldn't do things that without approval, just now humans cannot change DNA they wouldn't be able to change their code.
>>
>>74142063

If anything, /pol/ will turn the robots into kike-killing machines, like with Tay.

I have a clipout from USA Today in 2006(?) where US soldiers were taking bio-metric data from suspected terrorist in Iraq and feeding it into a database that US military drones were accessing live in the air. The drones were looking at the eyes of the people in (and around) oil fields and refineries with instructions to destroy any unauthorized persons coming within a certain distance of restricted territory.
>>
>>74144059
How good do you think the cameras on drones are? This isn't fucking CSI, the optics have limitations m80.
>>
>>74144427
Not according to the article. The cameras(?) on these drones were capable of seeing through your eyelids, sunglasses, etc. The only way to avoid detection would have made you essentially blind. And like I said, this was in USA Today around 2006 or so, ten years ago.

Proofs, we're also clearly using them very poorly if the current state of affairs is any indication. (Also good memory if the last time you saw this really was 2006...)

>>
>>74145367
I'm actually looking for it right now. I have it for sure because I was so freaked out by it.

Also, you're out of your mind if you think the US isn't getting exactly the results it wants in "the current state of affairs" concerning the Middle East.

Why? Seriously why? What benefit could this possibly have aside from making thoughtcrime punishable by death? Autonomous decisions means no trial.
