I don't see how comedy can be degenerate. There's lots of different kinds of comedy and different ways to interpret the comical value of each. The only thing linking them together is the goal of making people laugh. People try too hard to stir shit up over a joke because they can't laugh it off for whatever reason. I think that people who can't take a joke are degenerate.
