It's funny, in high school I read "The Great Gatsby" and at one point a character mentions the writings of Lothrop Stoddard (who had a Ph.D in history from Harvard).
Stoddard wrote a book in the 20s called "The Rising Tide of Colour Against White World Supremacy" where he talked about the perils of "White Civil War" like the great war and that the biggest peril the west would face would be immigration that threatened to wipe out our identities and cultures.
