The Ancient ruins are amazing. On day of eclipse, the sun shines right through a hole at sun rise and hits a certain way and lights the entire place up, it's amazing (but crowded as fuck, get other early).
They don't play up the history of the siege much, but there is a very god book on it on amazon you should get, where the guy is unashamedly on the side of the Knights of St. John and it's a cool story, would make an amazing movie if the Jews didn't run hollywood.
The WW 2 stuff...they have a museum which is so/so, the have the grotto of St. Paul in Rabat which is cool, and also a Roman Villa there. A few decades ago, they dead up the catacombs, but some homes have private entrances down into them if you know someone who will let you use theirs..

Do you mean where he is buried in Valetta? That whole story is amazing in and of itself, how after they won all of Europe came together to build the best fortifications in the world on the Island to protect them from the Turk ever attacking again.
