No, we are not. We essentially received working age male Muslims. Males cannot get pregnant. Only females can. We got very few females, many of those females are actually Christian and if they are Muslims they fled because they were middle class moderates.
Free trade is only good when both parties are exchanging goods; when one can better optimize resources by creating a different product than the outsourced job. That's no longer possible for us. Economic "science" exists in a fantasy world where it's always true, like rational shoppers. We have an overabundance of people and a growing population. And these international corporations are pocketing the money they save from outsourcing or reinvesting it outside of the country. Free trade today is just wealth fleeing from America to the developing world while corrupt politicians continue to flood the country with immigrants to destroy wages in what few jobs remain and sustain their pyramidal welfare schemes. It is the pursuit of a global equilibrium in jobs, prices, and compensation, but the obvious reality is that the equilibrium quality of life is a lot fucking lower than past generations of westerners have enjoyed.
