That is the most retarded thing I could ever imagine, the cost of commercial gene synthesis is still way too high. As an example I'll do some shitty math assuming the whole sequence is just made in one go (which is wrong, they'll still end up having to ligate different fragments together because it's a giant fucking genome).
We use genscript for making genes, and though our stuff we get from them is smaller they can make sequences up to 15 kilobase at a low, low cost of $0.45/base pair. Divide a little over 3 billion in half. 1.5 billion USD is fucking retarded and they would be better off pulling genes and fragments from pre-existing samples than to try and synthesize a new one.

One possibility is to let some sort of AI monitor active processes and look for algorithms they are using. Then using that information to configure a FPGA area in your CPU to implement those algorithms. You'll have areas meant specifically for those algorithms giving a significant speedboost instead of your CPU grinding away at them.
