When it comes to animation however, Disney really isn't doing much in-house stuff. Sure they'll make a Frozen and Tangled, but they outsource a lot of their stuff to Pixar. Pixar's animation is shit by today's standards, seriously compare a Pixar movie to say a Dreamworks movie and you'll see a huge difference in actual quality, but people just flock to Pixar because they're Pixar. No. I've seen a wide range of anime and they all do similar things. I could pick just about any random anime on this season and I guarantee they have a bunch of female characters who are standard stereotypes, wear slutty trendy clothing, or act like children.
The problem seems to be that you want to cherry pick specific anime and also want to pretend that since some female characters are given strong abilities that the anime can't be sexist or demeaning.
Here, I'll give an example of something that was on recently: KanColle. Sure, the girls in it are technically powerful but they're all just sexy stereotypes that act like children. In fact the entire anime basically centers around that.
Most anime, if it doesn't have ALL girls like that, usually has a majority female cast that IS like that.
