The fact that socialism in countries where there was little or no capitalism in the first instance (such as Russia, China etc) ended up the way they did is entirely consistent with orthodox Marxism, rather than Leninist revisionism.
Labour Theory of Value was a theory developed and pioneered as part of classical liberalism, not Marxism. It's leading theorist was free-trade liberal David Ricardo.
