The problem is that decent people don't like to resort to violence at the drop of a hat. It is a last resort to be used when all other avenues have failed but all means of recourse have either been made illegal or are ignored by those in charge. This seems to leave the majority of people with the impression that nothing has been done to deal with the situation yet and makes violence or revolt seem like the option of the hotheaded or hateful.
Combine that with the way they are keeping most of the migrant crimes either under wraps or are extremely biased in their coverage making it even harder for the average person to see that the situation has escalated drastically.
It feels like they are keeping the public under the impression that we are always on the early steps of revolting but that it is not yet time to move onto the next steps. They will keep the people feeling as though it is too early for action until it is far, far too late.
