Top Hezballah Commander in Syria Killed

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-36289403

Apparently he was killed by an explosion. I hope it was a fucking truck bomb just like the one he used on the US Marine peacekeepers in Beirut or the one he used to kill Rafik Hariri.

I heard Hezbollah were fighting against ISIS though?

Yeah helping Assad. We heard they were in Hasakeh when I was in Syria last year but I never met any.

Pic related.

They fight for Assad. I'm sure /SG/ is on suicide watch. They've been rather quiet today.
>>
>>73897662
ISIS are proxy forces of GB so that's good then.

Nice, Israelis killing the only muslims that are fighting against ISIS and at the same time protecting christians in the middle east.

DEUS VEULT GUYZ AM I RIHT? XD

When Hezballah first announced his death, they immediately blamed Israel, but they seem to have backed away from their original statement.
>>
>>73898342

Can definitely confirm that Assad and friends are pretty based. The nicest city I have been to in Syria was Qamishlo because the Regime had a military presence there. Little slutty women walking around dressed just like Americans, good food, actual sit down toilets in the high end establishments. The Kurdish cities were shitholes in comparison.
>>
>>73897863
Meanwhile the US is helping Al Qaeda by refusing to designate their Syrian branch a terrorist organization. Nice principles you have there clapistan.

So is this like when an Islamic State leader is killed?

Seems like dozens of IS leaders have been killed

>>
>>73899603
I know Israel is not lifting a finger to stop ISIS and it makes, sense why would they? They have nothing to gain from wasting energy on indirectly helping assad, and what does it hurt if mudslimes want to kill each other? But is there any proof that they are actually supplying ISIS?
>>
>>73899754
It was because a motorcade was going by. Only killed 22 people.

Israel is pretty protected by walls too. The only terrorist attacks are stabbings and being run down by a car.

There was a bombing, the first in years though.
>>
>>73900065
in all seriousness i believe our government prefers assad over isis, by far. assad is stable and can keep his men under control. his family has never shot a single bullet towrads israel since they took control over syria, because they know we'll fuck them up. isis on the other hand is a bunch of crazy mudshits with no real central command and no responsibilities and will attack us the first chance they get. they refrain from doing this now because they know we'll go ape shit on them since the entire world hates their guts. basically israel prefers assad but will stay out of this conflict. both sides will accuse israel for supporting the enemy as muslims always do. the only people israel does support are the kurds and druze.

Damn. Biggest explosion I've seen was a two ton airstrike but from several miles away. Up close the biggest I saw is pic related.
>>
>>73900311

Yeah but it is not about Assad as much as it is about Iran. Sure they prefer Assad to ISIS, but they prefer an ongoing war in Syria to a stable Assad Regime.

>>
>>73900311
Your tricks won't work merchant. Assad's Syria provides a supply route to Hezbollah in Lebanon from Iran, and they are the only decently organized force in the region who can bother you significantly. Meanwhile, ISIS are a bunch of crazy goatfuckers unlikely to pose you a serious threat AND they hate Shia like Iran and Hezbollah with fiery passion and kill them on sight, making them a pretty good force for you.
>>
>>73900952

>>
>>73900580
no, because war can always easily escalate. all it takes is a fighter jet accidentally crossing the border or someone decides to randomly shoot across the border (happened several times) and things can easily blow up. also the amount of foreign soldiers and mercenaries and ammunition keeps growing and growing. and let's not forget about people radicalizing, not just in the region but all over the world. i think israel would like to see this end soon with isis gone. i'm not saying we love assad or iran but it's the least worst outcome.

>>73901261
iran is not even remotely close to being a military threat to israel. the only thing that worries israel regarding iran is nuclear capabilities. their army, airforce, navy, etc, it's all one big joke.
>>
>>73901431
I was talking about Hezbollah that can and often does shell you and you don't seem to like it much. You'd rather they didn't have a supply route from Iran.

>>73901617
they shell us, we shell them, we have fun. they are not strategically a threat. their leader himself said that had he known about the outcome of 2006 he wouldn't have attacked israel. they are under control basically. isis is not something you can control.

Instead of a stable Shia Crescent threatening Israel you have a war that has destroyed Syria for generations and involved Iran in a decades long war for control of Iraq. A sunni/shiite war makes it impossible for the middle eastern nations/people to unite against Israel as of course you know they have several times in the past. What is most dangerous to Israel is Baathism, or should I say was most dangerous. Arab Nationalist movements are dead and will never return.
>>
>>73902113
it died because it was the result of europe colonialism and the europeans are gone. arab nationalism never took off and it has been suggested numerous times, always failed. arabs in their nature are a bunch of violent tribes who have been killing eachother for centuries. they only formed "countries" when the europeans formed them for them. with the europeans gone it was only a matter of time before they collapsed back to their violent nature. it's kind of like detroit with all the white people gone.

I agree with you in large part. I think though you possess the zealotry of a young man. To disregard the influence of American and Israeli interference in the governance of Middle Eastern countries is naive.
>>

If this was Israel, then how? The explosion supposedly occurred in Damascus near the airport.

How could Israeli agents make it so deep into Assad territory?

If it was an IAF airstrike, then WTF happened to the Russian air defenses?
