Bernie Sanders is one of the few democrat politicians that isn't actively trying to tear down the NRA.
In recent talks about potential legislation that would see gun manufacturers responsible for homicides committed with their weapons, Bernie came out in condemnation of such legislation, calling it what we all know it to be: absurdity and lunacy.
Hillary is running a campaign half focused on the wage gap and "women's rights", and being the first female president, advocating that we vote for her not on the basis of her competence or skill, but simply based on her gender.

An important thing to realize about Trump and Sanders is that half of their campaign is the same.
They are both campaigning against crony capitalism/corporatism, Wall Street, government/political corruption, and fighting for the American dream.
They are both candidates coming out of left field and obliterating the establishment of their respective parties.
The biggest thing about Bernie's campaign is his anti-establishment stance. Trump is no different.
When Hillary gets the democratic nomination, it is only sensible that you vote for the next guy whose policies align with Bernie's: Donald Trump.

Bernie's slightly less gun control platform is really irrelevant in the long term. He still has a D- with the NRA. Also, Bernie has openly appealed to BlackLivesMatters, he has ranted about the gender wage gap, he has bemoaned that the government has not officially apologized for slavery, and he has continued to echo feminist and racial progressive viewpoints

I called in to a local radio talk show hosted by a typical liberal jewish lawyer who was attacking Bernie on the suing gun manufacturers issue, all while saying he liked both Bernie and Hillary then spending his monologue attacking Bernie with Hillary talking points.
