The reason for this is because they have access to a lot more easier jobs than men that a good part of them involves physical attractiveness. Not to mention, STEM is a very intimidating field to get in (peer review and shit). Men and women choose careers differently, a man might think about what might benefit society, what might provide a challenge and what will put food on the table. Women are more concerned with the image surrounding a career and what it means for her social status, in that despite being highly paid STEM jobs are is status due to the stereotypes of low social skills and bad hygiene surrounding STEM workers. On the other hand "caring" or social jobs provide a caring, nurturing, benevolent image which women vastly prefer.
The last factor is you'll always suck at something you don't enjoy and enjoyment will give you that extra dopamine push to reward yourself when learning. Basically, because men aren't as affected by social implications they're more likely to enjoy STEM and therefore more likely to succeed.
This is purely social, there is no biological justification for the lack of women in STEM. If you really wanted to fix this, forget redistribution of opportunities via affirmative action, forget targeted internships and educational programs, simply fight against the horrible stereotypes that STEM workers are subjected to.

No, they do not, emotions are not understood, thy are felt, that's it. There is no reasoning behind them, no structure, nothing you can apply any skills to, it's not intelligence.
If anything, rationalizing and reverse engineering your emotions is a skill, but women, on average, are awful at it.
The reason men are manipulated so easily comes from a biological bias to protect women, trust women, and basically anything that will help their survival / will benefit them.
Why? because population groups with a higher survival rate for women thrive better, other ones which didn't weren't so successful in affecting the gene pool.
