There is no incentive to "go out there" since men have no value in today's society, unless you are Chad. Working hard will only reward you with more work later on and maybe some wealth to fulfill a superficial, fulfilling lifestyle of overcompensation. Starting a family is nearly impossible now since women don't want to marry, or if they do, they are willing and ready to push the divorce button the minute they are unhappy.
