The day I got a professional job I quit weed. I used to stress about what effect smoking all the time was having on my mental health, which was hard to gauge as I was stoned all the time. Spending that much money on a bong is kind of dumb, but if you're really into the hobby it makes sense.
A more expensive bongs will have extra bells and whistles (percs and whatnot) that lead to a much smoother, cleaner hit. They also look pretty.
However, you can find almost any expensive bong from a smoke shot for a literal fraction of the price on DHGate which is where most smoke shops buy their shit anyways and subsequently mark up to high hell.

All my other weed smoking friends have developed heinous anxiety issues and refuse to do anything that isn't vidya related and over by 11pm.
