Bolivia is now more prosperous than Venezuela. Thoughts?

Bolivia is also run by an eco-socialist dictator. They have natural gas though, wherase Venezuala is stuck with crude oil. This accounts for most of the change in fortunes.
Seriously though, when I went to Bolivia a couple of years ago, the whole country was on the rise, like you could feel positivity on the streets. That and the Government was actiuvely doing things like converting all the country's cars to LPG made La Paz the cleanest city on the continent. You could even drink the water without developing diarrhoea.

Venezuela was actually a very prosperous place that a lot of Colombians wanted to immigrate to prior socialism. What a shame.
