I don't think you have to be a weaboo fag to enjoy anime. I like anime a lot but I don't let it affect my outward-facing life in any way. I don't say "kawaii" or fuck bodypillows, I just enjoy the stories. Lots of anime shows have twice of the essence found in a lot of the HBO/Netflix/whatever that comes from the West.
The problem isn't anime, it's just people clinging onto something that gives them something in common with other people. Bronies, otakus, high school jocks, /pol/acks. Same shit.
