I just remember being fired in high school from a job on my day off, but karma came back to the guy since he was A LOT stealing money from the company, plus he was a new general manager that arrived on my last two months and he didn't like me. Not really. I'm full blooded Irish/Norwegian and my wife is Korean. My neighbors are all black of some sort with the exception of a Puerto Rican family. We all get along very well and hold regular cookouts. No hostility and no negative confrontations ever. We even held a super bowl party without anyone getting completely bent out of shape.

The russkie is correct, the fact is that the American melting pot actually works pretty well at breaking down social barriers. Nobody cares anymore about ethnic divisions among white people (pic related), because as new immigrants demonstrate their ability to assimilate to American values after a generation or two, they become part of the culture. This happened with Irish, Germans, Italians etc. and it's already happening with Asians and law abiding Hispanics.
