I only have a clue from when I took my college entrance exams. My score corroborated with 125 IQ, but I didn't prepare for it at all. Literally walked into it without any fucks to give and hoped for the best, so either I lucked my way to handful of points above the national average or my IQ could be slightly higher if I had some preparation.

I hope I made you proud, /pol/. It's been a while since I did this, so I'm pretty rusty. Also noticed I was slow in figuring out patterns and shortcuts. Still, I tried my best for all of you. 1. That is an internet test, not a real test. The purpose for the internet test is to make people interested in taking the real test, because that means $$ for Mensa. Thus it gives very optimistic results.
2. It is very likely that the people, who got very low score, didn't see any reason to post their result. Therefore the results in the thread are likely to be skewed.

If you pick the same answer for every question (e.g. always picking top-left answer), it says the results are too low to be accurately measured. If you pick at random each time, you get 95. If you don't believe me, try it for yourself.
If picking at random gives you an IQ (95) equal to the real average IQ (100), what does that say about this test? It's obviously not very good.

The one my psychologist gave me took like 3 hours and it had a pattern portion like the one here as well as solving patterns by assembling blocks into what you think the correct answer should be but it also included word association, having strings of numbers read off to me and then me repeating them back, sometimes in backwards order from which they were given, and fact-based questions like "what is the circumference of the Earth at its equator?" and other stuff like that
the people who score highly on these tests are just going through a mental checklist

I keep statistics of all the different legitimate-ish IQ tests I've done online and this test scored me no differently from the average of 130.
The biggest problem with online tests isn't that they're inaccurate, but that some don't average all scores to 100 points. But then again everyone can take online tests over and over again, experimenting with shit and stuff, so it would fuck up the statistics unless it tracked IP.

Psychology isn't a real science, it's a pseudo science at best. It's wholy based on acendotal evidence and not the scientific method. If you can't prove your theory through experiment (and multiple trials achieving the same result) and model these results mathematics to which you explain theme using physics or chemistry (and biology by extension) then I'm not interested. Neuroscience IS a real science since it studies the chemistry and mechanics of the brain. It's why in most universities, psychology is a BA and not a BS.
