Well, in Finland the uni education is free and fairly competent. Also our system is build upon the equality of opportunities which is embraced by ranking education high. Now the system is crumbling because higher education should not be the most important value itself, the application of education should. Tha's why the rest of the pack, the ones with not that excellent grades, are wandering around without jobs. Even if they tried to reach a little bit better than average grades which won't help them enough because the jobs earned by education are already taken up by the crown jewels. Not everyone can realistically or statistically be a crown jewel, not everyone can have a job just by educating oneself.
