I think that Europe and especially Sweden/Germany is committing national suicide led by liberals and mostly liberal women. I was raised a Roman Catholic in Northern Ireland, my grandparents were Erne islanders and had similar customs to jews for example dress in black, women cover their hair, not marrying protestants, believed in fairies (something they inherited from their celtic ancestors). Although most catholics and protestants are pretty secular here its more to do with nationalism than theological differences. Basically they are the same religion but they practice it differently. Yeah there a some similarities but alot of differences also, I am always intrested in talking to jews or palestinians because of this. The biggest difference is that unlike Israelis and Palestinians, the Irish and Ulster Scots are the same race (Celtic) we look the same. i have never met a karaite nor do i know anyone who did. they are less than 1% of jews today.
