mens USA soccer is not as good as the womens. womens soccer draws more because they are a better product and winner than the mens team. The idea of a wage gap implies that there is inequal pay for equal work.
First of all, this is not true (there are discrepancies in how much work is being done and qualifications between males and females)
But even besides that point, the idea of a wage gap doesn't even make sense in the context of things like sports, acting, porn, etc where the person *IS* the product, rather than just the one who is creating it.
Value is determined by supply and demand. Female athletes earn less money because they BRING IN LESS MONEY because less people watch it. They get paid less for the same reason that male pornstars get paid less than female pornstars.
