>Russia’s will deploy its new RS-28 Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missiles to units in Siberia and the southern Urals when the enormous new weapon becomes operational in 2018.
>The Sarmat will weigh at least 100-tons and carry a 10-ton payload. That means the missile could carry as many as 15 independently targeted thermo-nuclear warheads. It has a range of at least 6,000 miles. Once it is operational, it will be the largest ICBM ever built.

Military isn't even the biggest source of spending in US. Just cutting welfare and pensions would allow to increase army budget by 80% and at the same time repay all debt in less than 25 years. Old people cannot revolt and niggers can be easily rounded up.
>>
>>73589893
Most French critical military equiment runs on linux Solaris, for obvious self-reliance reasons (same reason they developed their own nuclear technology when Americans offered to give them American nukes)
>>
>>73595286
They need to work on satellite frying technology to combat enemy nukes, considering most utilize GPS. Knock out its guidance system and the nuke can't reach its destination, unless it uses our system, inertial guidance. But Americans and Russians aren't smart enough for that.

But from what I gather a ballistic missile is fired toward the nuke and locks onto it when a nuclear missile is fired and its goal is to shoot it out of the sky before it reaches orbit and the MIRV breaks apart and each warhead travels to its designated poop plot.

Trident is fully independent though, this myth of it being reliant on US satellites is just that, a myth.

France's nuclear deterrent is actually reliant on USA, we used to be dependent on the USA when we used Polaris.

Trident nukes are altered in the UK.

So don't try it Mr Chinky Chong.

>rockets for decades use star maps to navigate the path to the target
Yes, it's called Inertial Guidance. Your missiles don't use that anymore since the revolution of GPS you fucktard.

I already mentioned that, the UK is the only nuclear armed nation that utilizes this means of delivery and isn't reliant on GPS.

DUHHHH BRAIN.
>>
>>73589598
But their submarine fleet is of a similar size and capability to America, and the US hasnt developed any new ICBM technology or given much funding to their strategic missile forces since the end of the cold war.
>>
>>73589542
Our current nukes are fine but they're reaching the end of their lifespan and will need to be replaced soon. The problem is with the total testing ban we can't test new weapons so we'll either have to reuse badly outdated designs or build nukes that can't be tested in any capacity before being deployed. We could also just test them in secret and deny it when seismologists say we were testing nukes but that's pretty Nork tier shit to pull.

>this myth of it being reliant on US satellites is just that, a myth
deny it all you want/ call it a myth still won't change the fact that UK has no independent nuke policy.
>France's nuclear deterrent is actually reliant on USA, we used to be dependent on the USA when we used Polaris.
Unlike you the Frogs actually have their own missile(M51) and the support structure for it.
>Trident nukes are altered in the UK.
>Not only are Britain's Trident missiles in a common pool shared with the US and maintained in Kings Bay, Georgia, its nuclear warheads are designed and maintained at the Atomic Weapons Establishment at Aldermaston with the help of US know-how, as recently declassified documents on the UK-US Mutual Defence Agreement confirmed.
Given that nuke warheads are complex stuff you can't just hand a couple of dudes a manual to teach em how to tinker with it you'll have a couple US technicians/ specialists working on these warheads alongside their UK counterparts. And since nuke warheads are like precision engineering on steroids its not that hard to futz it up- maybe wire that one bit of the detonator wrong so it doesn't explode at the right moment etc. etc. Then there is the missile itself...

>>73601613
also you don't even know which targets you're supposed to hit. The insane throw weight means that a single rocket puts some nukes, dozens of decoys/penetration aids and jamming equipment on a path towards your important infrastructure. You have a ridiculously small reaction time. And that these things have insane range doesn't make it easier either since it means that they can come from pretty much any direction. I don't know when the soviets started with that, but at some point they started to increase the range of their ICBMs so that they could theoretically hit the US over the south pole, making the missile defense systems on the west coast and in alaska basically useless.

No culture, no science, no viable military force, no self-sustainable agriculture or energy sector, rapidly declining population, subservient position to US and EU at the same time, most of history is history of being someone's bitch, etc.

the earth is a big ball, you know? A higher range enables you to hit your enemy from different directions, mainly over the south pole. Since the US doesn't really have missile defense systems on the mexican border but on the west coast and in alaska taking this route makes them either completly useless or significantly reduces their reaction time.

Also russia is ridiculously big. Of course they could hit the US with missiles from places like kamtchatka since probably about half a century, but developing standard missiles with higher range enables them to use the same kind of missile in silos in the west of the country while still having the option to use more than one flight path.

At least you are not denying heavy losses caused by commies. Again, image you posted does not shows census of 39 year because it was not accepted by stalin and co, scientists who worked on it was killed. If i add his quote
>He вaжнo, кaк пpoгoлocyют, вaжнo кaк пocчитaют
then i guess credibility of afterwar census questionable.
And again if not commies, were probably wont be war at all, no millions of dead and so on, for half of century Russia was governed by jews.

Some Ukrainian Security Service's member by Putin's order. Duritskaya was used like a bite.
They wanted to give some money for Nemtsov's protest's campaign. But Putin decided otherwise.

And, as it always was, they blamed churkas.

Let aside that they hired a couple of internet bot's from Olgino(some propaganda agency).

It is how russian politic works.

>No culture
False. All around silly statement, distinctive people with their own language and history.
>no science
False. Pretty sure if you compare with Russia we do more research per capita. At least when oil is this cheap.
>no viable military force
Agreed, but according to this criteria there are around 20 countries in the world. Things like NATO were made for scrubs like us. It's all good.
>no self-sustainable agriculture or energy sector
False x2. Agriculture is our biggest export sector, we have a large surplus. We have enough powerplants for our energy needs.
Where do you get this stuff man?
> rapidly declining population
No more rapidly than any white population (except Israel) on the planet. Don't try to argue that the fact we don't breed millions of shitskins like they do in western Europe is somehow a negative.
>subservient position to US and EU at the same time
Don't see how. Not like we can do or have anything they need.
>most of history is history of being someone's bitch
Pretty funny to hear something like that form a Russian. Pic related. The Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth was dissolved in 1795. Given that we've been here for thousands of years I don't think that some 100+ years under Russian occupation constitutes "most of our history".

Well that was fun. Let me know if you would like to learn more!

ALL RUSSIAN FUN TOYS IN ONE POST

Status-6
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_torpedo#Status-6
>In 2015, rumors emerged that Russia may be developing a new nuclear torpedo, the Status-6 Ocean Multipurpose System,[17][18][19] codenamed “Kanyon” by Pentagon officials.[20][21] This weapon is designed to radioactively contaminate a wide area on an enemy coasts with cobalt-60, and to be immune to anti-missile defense systems that might disable an ICBM.[18][19][21][22][23] Two potential carrier submarines, the Project 09852 Belgorod, and the Project 09851 Khabarovsk, are new boats laid down in 2012 and 2014 respectively.[20][21][24][25] Status 6 appears to be a deterrent weapon of last resort.[23][24][25] It appears to be a torpedo-shaped robotic mini-submarine, that can travel at speeds of 100 knots.[23][24] This underwater drone is cloaked by stealth technology to elude acoustic tracking devices

Dead Hand System or "Perimetr"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Hand_%28nuclear_war%29
>An example of fail-deadly deterrence, it can automatically trigger the launch of the Russian intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) if a nuclear strike is detected by seismic, light, radioactivity and overpressure sensors. By most accounts, it is normally switched off and is supposed to be activated during dangerous crises only; however, it is said to remain fully functional and able to serve its purpose whenever needed.
>Mount Yamantaw is near one of Russia's last remaining nuclear labs, Chelyabinsk-70, raising speculation that it already houses nuclear weapons. Russian newspapers reported in 1996 that it is a part of the "Dead Hand" nuclear retaliatory command structure.

And plus all of those mobile platforms, trains n shit.

Yeah they were so bad that the US was going apeshit how they have the gommies first-strike capability vs hardened places like NORAD when they came out.
The Russians have done plenty of retiring for their strategic platforms. The fact that they kept this one and kept it up do date seems to imply that you are wrong.

This is not an issue of minimisation, the warheads are not larger than their western counterparts.
This is an issue of MOAR. Which is not an issue at all. And hey, when there is world peace and everyone are friends we can rework them into satellite carriers. Can't do that with the puny Minutemen.
F-15's and F-18's are pretty big. Mig-29 is pretty small. Russia is a large place, so they needed fast long range interceptors to cover all of that ground which gave birth to sexy breasts like the Mig-31

tl;dr: this is the result of doctrinal differences rather than technological inferiority.
>>
>>73591037
Except that a total retaliation is the only option if Russia attacks a nuclear country.
Same reason NATO has to go to war if one of its members is attacked.
If Russia nukes non-nuclear weapon country it only means a permament economic and political blockade against russia by the rest of the world

Are you aware that M stands for in that acronym?

>>
>>73607472
No.

One version of the SS-18 Satan ICBM (that this RS-28 Sarmat replaces) was specifically banned in a nuclear treaty since it was capable of shunting a nuke carrier into orbit.

This allowed the Soviets to launch a nuke the other way (towards India / Australia / Antarctica) and have it orbit around all the NATO early detection radars and strike from a South America direction.

The USA would spot a rocket launch on satellite, but then no other detection system would go off, meaning "lol, false alarm".. then BOOM a city / military complex gets blown to hell.

And the worst part is, that they could have built many, and staggered the launches / hidden the launches with coupled missile tests from the neighboring silo and the USSR would then have a few of these nuke trolleys orbiting up there waiting for the computer to say "drop".

They banned that model of the SS-18 in return for the USA doing their own nuke reductions.

They kept the standard SS-18 in service though, which carried either one BIG FUCKING NUKE or a MIRV of many small nukes.. but no orbiters, still technically banned.
>>
>>73608690
you can still have a suborbital trajectory over the south pole
>>
>>73609285
Not with current ICBMs (except these two) you don't, they don't have the throw weight.

For example the next most powerful ICBM, the RS-24 Yars, is incapable of doing such an attack, as it would end it's trajectory on the south pole.
>>
>>73604650
There's a space test ban treaty m8.
>>
>>73610372
I was talking about Satan and Sarmat though

Also how does the throw weight play into it? Can't you just exchange throw weight for range?

that is why i pointed out that the animation i posted only had one reentry vehicle... i assumed anyone reading would see my annotation before watching the video with 1 warhead.

it is still MIRV technology just armed with 1 instead of 3... it is the same concept and deployment method.

also, the cuts of real video at the end has multiple rv streaking through sky.

i realize you dont speak english well, so i wont make fun of you for it.
