I haven't read the full thing by now, just skimmed through parts of it. But I remember hearing about Phillips in the past and he seems intelligent enough. He used to believe that shunning all critics of immigration as racists and islamophobes would help immigrants and native Brits to live peacefully together. But when it eventually dawned on him that it only creates cultural segregation and massive tensions, he changed his mind and admitted it publicly. But Phillips did eventually admit that he'd been wrong. A lot of people are too stubborn to ever admit a thing like that, even when reality is screaming evidence that proves them wrong.
