In what universe is this the case? Ever seen an anarchist rally? They're about as far left as you can get and the riot cops/police presence is insane, and if the media covers it at all it's just to shit all over the protesters and glorify police overreach and needless brutality.
Even without that, look at Occupy Wall Street. Shit like cops rounding women up in corrals and then pepper spraying them for no reason in the streets of NYC, and of course the infamous UC Davis incident in pic related. Everyone I talked to about it thought, and still thinks, that OWS was just a bunch of "jobless hippies doing nothing but playing in drum circles" if they knew about it at all.
