WW2 = Unjustly. After WW2 there was massive propaganda/downplay of Soviet contribution and the Norwegian partisans in the north and the other resistance fighters getting their orders from Soviet were basically ignored.
And the graves of the Russian PoWs and soldiers dying where dug up (on the orders of the government) and dumped in the sea. There are only a few of them left, maintained and protected by local communists.
The picture people have, is that yes, the Soviets did a lot to stop the Nazis, but basically they were evil too, and it was good we had the US pushing the Soviets from taking everything.
Funny thing is that the Soviets were offered half of Norway by the US and GB (they feared they would take all of Norway), but the Soviets declined and pulled out freely and without hesitation.
