I came to Canada 3 years ago form Ireland, I am originally Eastern European and I can tell you that they are definitely different that what I was used to until now. Not in a bad way of course, otherwise I would move, but they are a product of whatever it is that you would expect from a multicultural society which has a number of groups living in it that simply do not care about their business.
Overall, I see them to be more passive than the Irish/Polish, a lot less confrontational, a lot more tolerant or something that is strange/new, and a lot less willing to take action if something is wrong.
