Most Americans definitely think a lot further to the right than the left wing media would have people believe, but I doubt that wanting to deport anybody who isn't white despite how culturally integrated into the American culture they are would go over well.
The temporary Muslim immigration ban thing worked well for him because they're the ones who commit the vast majority of terrorism and they integrate into the American culture about as well as oil integrates into water, and it's temporary rather than permanent. (Not that it wouldn't be great if he forgot about that caveat once he got into office.)
