Doing PhD physics, group has around 40 people at the moment. Around 34 germans, 4 Italians, 1 Japanese, 1 Chinese (elite student from china with a scholarship for phd at yale university in the pocket).
The chinese guy (bachelor student) is a special kind of retard, he is supposed to be an elite student but can´t even keep up with our average bachelor student. I´d give him a 2/10 if 5 is average in competence, people skills, english skills and so on...
The japanese guy (phd student) gets a 3/10, complete social mess, bit better english but mostly useless. Both are like worker drones not able of own thought.
If I compare that to the german students, it´s like day and night...
