Explain me why the EU isn't another German scheme to dominate Europe. Pic related.

Why do you think we did it? Worked fine (for us). Except for that slight hiccup with greece

For Germany, a weak Euro currency has been a ticket to prosperity. It not only needs the euro, it needs the euro zone’s weakest members to remain to artificially keep the Euro currency at low levels.

>>73406247
what went wrong with Greece? That all went accoring to plans for Germany.
>>73406307
Pretty much this. Greece falsely believes that it needs the EU or that the benefits outweigh the costs. This isn't true in the slightest. The least greece could do is reintroduce the drachma, germany may throw up protests and threaten them but ultimately greece would be allowed to stay because the EU prioritizes influence over rules. Kicking out greece would show everyone that leaving the EU is possible and expedient, and if greece prospered it would only embolden EU skeptics.
this is a better picture

It is.
that's what's funny I always tell my dad
"what did the allies accomplish? Germany runs all of continental europe; especially if Brexit. So, it's the exact same as if the Nazi's won, except instead of an iron willed non degenerate empire, you have the weimar republic running europe
>>73406247
Good hiccup considering your companies bought a shitload of greece assets for nothing after the german gov coincidentially pushed for more austerity on greece.
Germany is stacking up so many enemies inside the eu that no one will help you if shit goes down.

I think it's a silly strategy that will bite them in the ass not even in the long but in the medium term.
