Let's argue faggots. Being transgender is not a mental illness, it's a physical condition with mental effects (like balding, physical mutations that often lead to depression, paraplegia).
Also, trannies empirically do better after they transition in all studies of general mental health. Even the suicide rates that everybody likes to jerk off to actually tell a different story. When trannies have the same support networks as a standard control, their suicide rates are often below average and often show better mental health.

I don't like the current efforts to normalize transgenderism because the causes aren't well understood and treatments other than transitioning are shouted down as being 'transphobic.' I want these mentally ill people (a physical malformation of the brain still a mental illness) treated in the best way possible. I don't view current efforts of poisoning and mutilating their bodies into looking like caricatures of what gender they want to be as ideal. There's also the fact that normalization of transgenderism and looking for it in younger and younger kids provides the very real possibility of kids just acting like kids and it being mistaken as gender dysphoria. There was a doctor running a program in Canada that was recently thrown out after a wall of false accusations were thrown at him because he dared to let children act as they desired without pressuring them into 'choosing' their gender at age 6.
Transgender issues have always been about feelings and not science. Science is only brought up as a shield when it's relevant to pushing the tranny agenda and completely disregarded when it's not.

I think there are some cases where its definitely pushed too aggressively. I think there are quite a few trannies speaking out about this radicalization themselves though. It's a lot more localized than you seem to understand. Different regions have different models/paths to treatment. I personally like that somebody would not pressure kids into choosing. I haven't read or heard anything about that so I can't comment further.

I've had a friend who moved and then became transgender mtf at age 31. I don't really feel like being friends with him anymore or even looking at him. I'd be perfectly fine with him if he was just gay, but I don't really feel like being around him anymore. I don't know why he did that, I never detected that he disliked being a male, I never detected any gay on him.
