I've heard a lot of stuff in passing about the politics of Indian reservations, but I can't piece it all together.
Basically;

I've heard of people raping women on tribal land, then leaving, so they won't be prosecutable under US law by some loophole. I've also heard that the federal government is basically ignoring tribal councils saying they don't want Resolution Copper or the Pipeline on their own land, and seizing it from them. Also, there've been articles on the Navajo water being more contaminated than Flint, MI, and the murder-by-police rate being much higher for Indians than for blacks.
On a scale of 1-10, how much to do we still fuck with Indians?

Tribal police can fine you and take your property without any sort of compensation. They can not imprison you in their jails - whites are extradited to American jails for that.

What gets me all riled up is when people try to claim California (where I'm from) is Mexican territory. I went to the Costa Mesa Trump rally the other week and there was some girl saying how "imperialistic America raped and stole this land from mexico." Yet that Mexican land on that logic would've been raped and stolen by Spain who founded Mexico (more or less). Irony is not dead.

Well, they tried, and failed. The US didn't have to do anything for them. I can think of many examples of countries who gained land through conquest and just had the native population either killed or forced them to leave. Not just in the Americas either.
I grew up near a reservation located of all fucking places, the Hamptons.
They sell absolutely fucking garbage $2 packs of cigarettes by the side of the road just outside the reservation, which is ironically located on amount of land in such an insanely expensive area that would be worth nearly a billion dollars if not more.
Even though this area has a thriving construction/remodeling industry, no one will do business with them because so many people have been stiffed on payment after work was completed. The few people I know who do work there from time to time require cash up front before work, in USD, not shells and beads.
They make news headlines every once in a while for big busts regarding shitty drugs like heroin and gun running.
Back in high school we were having a bonfire on the beach down near the border of their reservation, and some of the youngins came down and started hassling us about being on their land. One kid started talking shit back when a reservation kid grabbed the unburnt portion of a log and smashed him in the face with the fiery side, honestly the most savage thing I've ever seen, pun intended.
They've been trying to open a casino in the fucking Hamptons for years, but luckily there's enough money to keep that shit quashed.
Natives fucking suck, my ancestors fucked up by not just wiping their ancestors out entirely way back when.

They get reparation checks from the government as well as welfare. Gaming profits are huge as well and they all get a slice. Yet they live like shit. They get fat and diabetic before they hit 25 and ruin their bodies by drinking some of the most unholy booze i have ever seen. Despite the rez being "dry". They get houses built for them. They rip all the shit out of the houses, sell it, keep their animals in the houses and live in shacks they build outside of the house. I shit you not. They keeps the animals in the house and live in a dirt floored shack. Meth and heroin are rampant, and superstition is on the rise.
