Those neighborhoods fell into disrepair, Mosques were openened, Arabic & Turkish shops were opened and they became the base of power for the Labour party in the cities... Suddenly, parties like that no longer had an interest in dismantling the power of religion over the working class, but instead started pushing the 'multicultural', 'tolerant' and 'inclusive' dream in which we subjegate our typically Dutch values of freedom for EVERYONE, equality of the sexes, classes and religions to 'understanding' and 'tolerance' for one of the most backwards and intolerant religions we see in our society today.. The biggest victims of this have been women and Jews, but you can generally say that society as a whole has suffered imo.
