WWI is one of the few wars (The others being WWI and the Korean War) to literally have significant people from all sorts of races.
It isn't common just French and British men vs German men in WWI, going by death count they almost become a minority. You basically had the whole of Europe, Eastern Europe, Southern Europe, Northern Europe etc, then you had the Russians, Turks, Indians, Arabs and the Northern Africans if you think they're another race... finally you had the Americans which is their own plethora of races... and there's probably a bunch of other races I'm forgetting about.

Henry Johnson himself was nicknamed 'The Black Death' by German forces and was something of a legendary soldier. In Africa between the German and British colonies a German commander named Lettow-Vorbeck or whatever led guerilla missions with German colonists and various regiments of African indigenous forces, attacking the railways and other key areas, always on the move and only stopped fighting when word reached the colonies that the war was over and that Germany had lost.
