They're effectively dead right now. They have zero chance of winning the next general election. It's mainly because of pic related.
This is unprecedented here in Scotland. This country used to be a lock for Labour and essential to winning general elections. Now the SNP is the biggest party by a distance (though they've lost their majority). What's worse for Labour though is that the Conservatives have overtaken them as the second biggest party in Scotland.

The political landscape in Scotland has shifted from left and right, though that's still important of course, to the stances on independence.
The SNP have made it clear they want an independent Scotland in the future. It's been the Conservatives that have taken up the hard-line 'no' stance, leaving Labour scrambling around between the two.
This is also the first year that the Scottish government is given power over Scotland's tax as part of Westminster's devolution. The Consevatives are the only party that don't want to increase taxes in the country.

Not here in Scotland. Farage gets a hard time up here. We have a lot of irrational leftists. But the conservatives have gained a lot of ground which is really something. Thatcher did a lot of damage to the Conservative relationship with Scotland. Young people are raised here to dislike the Tories. So the ground they've gained is meaningful.
