When I was a teenager during the 90s, my parents always complained that they missed the 70s.
One day I told them "that's because you can't adapt" and promised them I'd never treat my past as some ideal period of time. Because it never is.
So while I have plenty of fond memories of the 90s, I don't ignore the bad shit that happened either (like the Rodney King riots)
