The Allies would've been able to beat the Germans eventually even without direct American intervention. After the US declared war, it took a year for American troops to get mobilized and shipped to the front, by then the entente had already picked up an offensive momentum.
American doctrine was horribly out of date with the rest of the entente, they acted more as cannon fodder than anything very useful.
Without American help the war would've gone past 1918, but the Germans still would've lost.
