So it's just weird to see them all the time in the summer, in the desert southwest, at altitudes below 15,000 ft.
It's just chemicals added to the fuel of commercial jets. They have dedicated sprayer craft that douse particular areas, but compared to regular commercial air traffic with the doctored fuel, that's just a drop in the bucket.
