But it will take time and be painful, sometimes to the point of being revolutionary, like going from an agrarian economy to an industrial economy, or an industrial economy to a service economy. But eventually the standard of living is increased because we are doing shit more efficiently, which increases the amount of goods and services and the consumer's purchasing power.
