Sanders needs about 66% of the remaining pledged delegates to beat Hillary in pledged delegates. If that happens he can make the case that he deserves the superdelegates since they have always sided with the person who had the most pledged delegates since their inception.

My main question is if Hillary will claim him as Vice President?

If she doesn't she threatens herself going into the whole election.

I say she does it. It's the smartest move. She gains every Bernie supporter. If he dies then she lays a bouquet on his grave during her tenure and "vows to preserve the progressive values you all voted me and Senator Sanders in here in the first place." Or something like that.

She's braindead if she picks that liberal bitch that looks just like her as her VP.

Well it was lower than 66% pre-indiana so i'm not exactly sure but it couldn't have shifted that much. I'm too lazy to do the exact math but considering how much sanders won by and what was remaining I doubt it could have raised that much. It's likely still around 66%.

At the convention, the delegates get to vote for what the official party platform is. If Sanders has a lot of delegates present, he can basically force the Democratic Party to officially adopt stances such as free public education. $15 min wage, campaign finance reform etc.

Bernie will win. The super delegates will switch late in the game, Bernie will go into the general election with a ton of momentum and easily beat Trump. Hillary is just playing a role, trying to make Bernie seem powerful by defeating her. Not while Hillary is leading with pledged delegates.

Hillary currently leads by about 280 pledged delegates.

There are 219 pledged remaining *before* June 7th.

Therefore, the superdelegates will still be supporting Hillary on June 7th.

Hillary only needs 18% of the remaining delegates to reach 2383 *on* June 7th.

She WILL win at least 18% of the remaining pledged delegates.

Therefore, Hillary will reach 2383 on June 7th.

Superdelegates won't switch once somebody reaches 2383.

Therefore, Clinton will lock up her victory on June 7th.

This nomination process is over.
>>
>>73007910

Was just going to post that. If Trump wants any more than 10 percent of Bernie voters, he doesn't have long to start making gains
>>
>>73007910
No you don't understand, the super delegates will feel the bern and switch times. After the momentum boost, Sanders will start sweeping the rest of the states and then get California at 80% to seal the nomination.
>>
>>73008267

The only way the superdelegates switch is if Hillary gets indicted before the convention.

they will, without a doubt, side with whomever has the most pledged delegates.

both parties know that using their unpledged delegates to pick a candidate against the majority vote will lose them the general election.

the superdelegates picking clinton over a bernie who has won the most pledged delegates would be serving the election to trump on a silver platter.

republicans giving the nomination to someone other than trump would be sacrificing not only the white house but likely one of the congressional houses as their turnout tanked hard.

You need 2384 delegates to win the nomination and there are only 4051 pledged delegates. It's possible to split it enough so super delegates will decide the total. That's how Obama one in 2008.
