I watched it prior to the Ukraine happening when it was ok, I feel like the subsequent resignation of some of their staff as well as internal disagreements on things crucial to the Russian government caused some sort of purge of "wrong opinions" and a doubling down on Russian government narrative.
Basically they just turned RT into a generic Russian government propaganda outlet like Russia24 after they noticed that not all of their western journalists were 100% on board with Putin.
