Nobody ever liked Hillary and the more shit comes out, the less they like her.

this is why you see so many anti-Bernie threads on /pol/ They know he will win.

Literally all democratic ones are porportional.

If Bernie wins 64% of the votes he is still behind because Hillary has the 36%.

Hillary is so far ahead even if you completely disregard super-delegates Hillary could get only 36% of the vote in every upcoming state and still beat Bernie.
>>
I like Bernie and hope he can knock Shillary out, but it's not looking good.

Can one of you Berncucks please explain to me how him staying in the race at this point is helping the Democrats at all given that (Short of a Clinton indictment), his chance of becoming the nominee is a statistical impossibility?

Like, I get that early on he was an Issue Candidate, I do. He started talking about income inequality and education and now Clinton is talking about it more than she was before, but what's his endgame here? He's still in a dead heat in pretty much every single remaining state, and since none of them are Winner Take All, he'd need to win by HUGE margins to even begin to start chipping away at Hillary's lead.

Does he not understand that by staying in the race he's actually HURTING more than helping because Hillary will need to divert more time and money to defeating him instead of fighting Trump, and it will make the Democrats look disjointed heading into the convention, and later the election?

I mean, shit, look at the raw, popular vote. He's millions of votes behind Hilldog. When is he going to realize while he may have vocal support with young, educated white voters, his message simply isn't resonating with the rest of the party? My theory is he knows his goose is cooked, but he's staying in as long as he can to make it look like he's given token resistance (Like he's given this whole time, barely attacking Hillary at all despite having so much ammo to do so) and when the dust settles and the story of this is written, he'll look like a brave champion of the people. Tell me I'm wrong.
>>
Even if by some fucking miracle Bernie won the democratic nomination, all America will see during the debates is a geriatric, crotchety old cook blabbering on about black people and welfare standing next to Trump, who wants to bring jobs back into the country instead of handing out free shit to people.

Seriously. Trump would just have to show both tax plans on TV. Once. And it'd be over for Bernie.

Op, if you ventured outside of your college campus and /r/politics you'd realize that normal, every day middle America doesn't want a fucking Socialist Kikeburger like Bernie.
>>
And don't you fucking Bernie fags start talking about how his campaign is a success because Hillary started to take up his issues. The closer we get to the general election, the more Hillary is going to start to throw all that socialist shit in the trash and appear as moderate as possible. She's fucking shameless and she knows the majoiryt of Americans know that "LOL FREE COWWAGE LOL FREE HELF CARE" means that the working class gets even further raped in taxes. Taking on Bernie's platform would be a fucking death sentence.
>>
>>72997924
I thought so too anon but it's legit if you don't count superdelegates.
>>
>>72998824
>short of a Clinton indictment

No no no, you don't understand.

She WILL be indicted. The Democratic establishment fucked up BIG TIME by making literally the worst candidate in Democratic history their nominee. She's corrupt, she's a criminal, she has negatives that rate nearly as high as Trump's and she's a well known liar and politically expedient flip flopper.

The FBI is very likely to announce her indictment during the general election, screwing the Democratic party completely (though the Dems have only themselves to blame).

The Democrats had a chance. They could have nominated Joe Biden and easily swept this thing. They blew it.
>>
>>72998824
I can't blame him for not dropping out when Hillary has a possible indictment looming over her.
As long as he's got the money to stay in he may as well see it through.
>>
It's going to be one hell of a show if it really does come down to Trump vs. Bernie.

Bernie's followers will be trying to portray him as some kind of martyr, and everyone with any sense will see right through this classic Jewish victim tactic.

>I'm just trying to win the presidency, Donald. I have no desire to engage you on the level of insults and rhetoric.
>Because you'll lose.
*applause*
>>
>>72999501

My theory is that back in 2008, Clinton cut a deal with Obama that in exchange for her capitulation before the convention, he'd give her a Get Out of Jail Free card, and now she's cashing it in.

Shillary is an evil cunt, but she's not stupid. She knows politics is a long game. She knew that eventually, her demons would catch up with her if she wanted to continue a life in politics, and she needed some insurance. For all we know, the Clintons have extra leverage on Obama to force his hand here.
>>
>>72999844
Considering the level of quid quo pro corruption in Washington and the fact that Shillary is THE face of it on the Democratic side, your theory is actually possible. In fact, her appointment as Secretary of State almost certainly had to do with her "rallying her supporters" to support Obama in 2008 along with Bill. It's not impossible that there were additional favors offered to her in exchange for her support.
>>
>>72997824
>the more shit comes out, the less they like her.

Please provide source.
>>
>>72999844
Pretty sure you have to be convicted to be pardoned. Either way, if she's indicted at all that's it for her career, regardless of whether or not anything sticks.
>>

It wouldn't even get to the indictment stage, that's the point.

>>
>>72997824

It isn't enough for him to win states at this point, he needs to win every single one with a LANDSLIDE in order to have a chance.
>>
>>73000228
You're right about that, but you can't stop the FBI from recommending indictment. They WILL do it and it WILL stop her Presidential bid dead in its tracks. Trump will sweep everywhere except the most hardcore blue states once it happens. Shillary will weak of criminality and corruption like never before. She can brush a lot of other things under the rug but she can't shrug off the FBI.

The head of the FBI is a Republican. They WILL recommend her indictment. The reason they are taking their time is because they are waiting for the golden opportunity to do so. Even though it will be politicized, it is frankly deserved as there was obvious wrongdoing on Clinton's part. Also, the Democratic establishment should never never accepted, let alone abetted, her bid for Presidency with the knowledge that she was in serious legal hot water.
>>
>>73000228
Muh first female president seems to beat any policies or criminality. Julia Gillard got re-elected after backstabbing because of it. Heaps of normies are probably swallowing buckets of the blue pill because they don't want to admit they have a problem
>>
>>73000666

I give it a 50/50 chance on the indictment, there's just so much going on behind the scenes it's a coin flip at this point IMHO. One thing's for sure if it does happen it will be the HAPPENING of our times.

>>
>>73000346

Why? I rather have Bernie win to be completely honest, but Trump would be better than Hilary. We need to have a strong leader who is willing to do something different and either the Bernie or Trump fit the bill. Clinton would mean the US turning into a feminist dystopia, I can't understand how she would be better than Trump.
>>
Hope he goes all the way to the convention, then runs as independent.
>>
>>72997824
The problem is that all the Democratic primaries are proportional... so to close that gap Bernie doesn't just need to win 318 delegates in California... he needs to BEAT Clinton by 318 delegates.

Only way the math on that works is a 20-80 split, which ain't gonna fucking happen.

The reason we always make fun of Sanders supporters for not knowing math is because they don't know fucking math.

The people calling this election cycle early (that clinton beats bernie and then goes on to beat trump) are failing to see one big hurdle:

Hillary hasnt faced the brunt force of meme magic coming on two fronts. Bernouts are not going to go out quietly or start helping Hilldawg, especially if she only wins by a narrow margin and with the super delegates boost.

Jeb was a contender and the dream child at the beginning, Hillary has to overcome a lot of points she is going to be brutalized on.

-Winning her nomination through a process people consider undemocratic
-Being a "legacy" candidate
-FBI email scandal

Plus whatever memes bernouts have already cooked up are going to be reflavored by the almighty kek

California.

Five million voters in 2008. He's behind 2.5 or so at the moment, but a win in literal Liberalsville could bite a huge chunk out of that gap, especially combined with gnawing enough smaller wins between now and then.

And the fact that he might not have the lead, but he's still at the point where given a good run, Clinton lacks enough delegates without the superdelegates to get the nomination.

It's the GOP #StopTrump scenario, Democrat edition only Bernie has a better chance of pulling it off than they did.

Depends on what you believe. There are basically 4 reasons to believe as to why Bernie's still running

1) He thinks he can somehow meme the remaining states to an outright win, at least with supers switching to reflect state

2) He thinks he can get close enough and make the supers undemocratically rig it in favor of him

3) He thinks Hillary will actually get indicted

4) He was controlled opposition and meant to make the democratic race look close

There is no way Bernie can win, even if we ignore the Super Delegates Bernie would need to win at absurd % rates in every upcoming state.

So Bernie will lose and there will be millions of disefranchised Democrates, almost half their voting population. Some will not vote for anyone, but many will make a choice between Trump and Hillary. We want to be welcoming to them when their ship finally crashes and give em a hand. Attacking Bernies does nothing.

They cannot officially vote until the actual convention. At this point, it is almost guaranteed that the Dems will have a contested convention, at which point those superdelegates will most likely vote for Hillary en masse thereby officially alienating the section of their voter base that will see that as being totally undemocratic.
