This makes no sense. We all know trickle down economics have never worked and will never work. Just because rich people pay lower taxes, doesn't mean poor people are better off.

Why is /pol/ of all communities falling for this?

Why is Waluigi trying to help Trump conquer the world?
>>
>>72990152
A main component of his plan is to close loopholes and bring companies back to the US. The lower taxes are a middle ground for when corporations cannot evade taxes nearly as hard as they do now. Don't worry about it. Also, the "wealthy elite" most people hate make their money from investments or hedge funds, and Trump's plan includes increasing taxes for those. The "rich" who will really benefit from the 25% highest bracket are going to be normal people who earn 250k+ without really doing anything shady and perhaps small business owners who add jobs to the economy.

What do you mean "everyone"? 47% of Americans don't pay federal income tax as of right now. So they aren't better off at all. What happens is that 90% of the income tax cuts go to big corporates and the top 1%.

That is called trickle down.

Trickle down only works on a local scale.
When you have multi-billions with offshore back accounts then money just stops flowing and those at the bottom dry out.

The fix for this isn't tax plans though, it solved by buying from local middle class stores and not walmart, target or amazon.
I mean, you can shop these places all you want and save a whole 2 dollars on that toaster. Or you could preserve the American middle-class. Its up to you

Reaganomics worked well enough to have the GOP copy Reagan in every conceivable way for decades following his presidency. Trump's goal is full employment. The national debt will be handled by growing the US GDP at a faster rate than debt accrues.

That isn't trickle down economics. He's making America a more attractive place for businesses to come and do business, as well as giving people in all income tax brackets increased purchasing power. Did you miss just miss the bullet point in your picture that says "No federal income tax for individuals earning less than $25k or couples earning less than $50k?"

>No taxes for those making less than 25k

UH, no. I think Germany should lover taxes. I just don't think lowering taxes for the top 1% the most makes the most sense.

I am all for spending most of the tax reduction money to lower taxes for the 80% poor and middle class.
>>
>>72993363
The prognosis is largely that the $1 trillion average tax revenue reduction will be plugged by growth from trade policies, and the deficit (and thus the interest payments) can be reduced by leveraging federal assets and mineral rights (ala sovereign wealth funds). From that, reducing welfare spending, and refocusing defense spending would allow a Trump administration to back infrastructure programs.

That or we see a shift to state income tax, and making the states responsible for their infrastructure and see it through. But hey, who knows. The alternative is Bernie's TRILLION DOLLAR PROGRAM BACKED BY ISSUED DEBT!!! and boy would that be shitty

>>

no, the part where anyone making less than 25K or 50K as a couple pay no income tax is.
Right now, a married man making 45k pays about 6 grand in federal taxes. You don't think that extra 6 grand a year will give them a tremendous boost? It means their student loans can be paid off faster, or after 2 years, they'll have downpayment on a house.

Did you miss that of the 12 trillion that Trump's plan costs, this only accounts for 7%?
>>
>>72990152
If you think tax cuts for the lower/middle class is trickle down reaganomics, you're a fucking retard.

Not that it fucking matters. We're on the verge of a debt bubble and when it pops, trump is going to be blamed anyway no matter what he tries to do.
>>
>>72994086
>You don't think that extra 6 grand a year will give them a tremendous boost?
No, I do not. Most people pay mortgage rates which are deductible from taxable income.

In any event, 80% of Trump's tax decreases would go to the top 20% of Americans. That is trickle down.
>>
>>72994124
If you dug any further into those tax plan analyses you're referencing, you'd find that they don't account for any reductions in federal spending or higher GDP due to businesses returning to the U.S. from abroad. In other words that 12 trillion number isn't entirely accurate, or honest.

Jesus christ are you literally retarded?

The minimum wage is a hedge against anti-competitive local wage manipulation.

Are jobs created by it?
No.
Does it change how many people are selling their labour?
No

So the same people who worked the job get their hours cut or just fired. The capital and investment capable big bad rich people use their capital to invest in autonomy and reduce costs and the massive overheads of labour.

Prices rise, the value of the dollar is inflated away, businesses go bankrupt or fail, and the only ones who survive are the ones

Here's something.
Britain is trying to do a "living wage" increase from £5.50 an hour to £7.50 over the next 5 in installments
That's about a $4 increase overall.

The only businesses that are able to cope with it are the big supermarkets, the big restaurant and fast food chains, and NOT the small businesses that hold up the economy.

The rich get richer, and you fall into another jewish trap.

>>72994318

>>
>>72994318
Most people making a collective 45K don't buy a house because they can't save the money for it.
You really need to be making 55k+ for a couple years to afford even a small, 150k home. If you have good credit.
Mortgage interest rates are deductable, yes, but as someone who owns a house and just paid taxes, I can tell you it's not always a factor. I still ended up taking the standard deduction because in the end it was the same amount of money (within a hundred, actually).
This year I'll likely be itemizing it, because we're paying a little more.
But right now the bottom income tax is 10% and anyone who makes minimum wage will pay that, and then 15% of anything over 8k.
This plan will literally put thousands of dollars back in the pocket of everyone who works a full time minimum wage job.
How is that not helping the lower class?
>>
>>72990152
The rich pay next to nothing anyway due to all the loopholes. 25% of $0 is still $0.

$10 trillion over 10 years, not twelve.
And yes, the figures only analyse the effect of the tax plan alone.

A tax plan that will create 5.6 million jobs.
Will increase the GDP by 11% and the wage rate by 6.5% alone.

Now, when trade comes into it, you best pull those investments out of Eastern Poland and think Eastern Seaboard.

Trump is in the casino and hotel businesses
Trump does well when people have more money to spend at the casinos and vacations.
That translates into more oil usage.
More jobs.
It's win-win-win

I mean, I hate Trump as the nominee, but his tax plan is literally his most sound proposal.
>>
>>72990152
You realize that "rich" people and businesses don't just keep their money in giant money bins like in you duck cartoons, right? They reinvest all of it back into stock which in turn creates more jobs. Add in the repeal of NAFTA and Trump's other plans of encouraging manufacturing jobs to return to America and you'll have huge employment gains.

The only people who are against Trump are the ones who literally don't want to work and think that the government should keep raising the debt to feed them at the expense of future generations.

But that money just flows right back up to the top earners you took it from. It doesn't create more money for more businesses to create jobs. It allows the bottom earners you gave it to to have more influence over what businesses and industries grow. But, because the economy hasn't grown at all, this means you're taking money that might have been spent one place and causing it to be spent elsewhere. So the first place loses money, starts to shrink, people lose their jobs, but, just as this place is losing money, the second place is making money and creating new jobs, but only in an amount equal to that which was lost by the previous company.

It's like taking water from the deep end of a pool and dumping it into the shallow end.
