Seeing as how there's a couple slide threads on Tesla I'd figure I make an AMA about Lithium and it's impact on electric vehicles.
I know a bit about Tesla's situation but my expertise is more on raw materials.
AMA
Good or bad investment?
Either tesla or lithium

Arent lithium the worst type of batteries?Li-Po?I don't know much chemistry but i think those are the nigger tier of batteries.
Even so Tesla is a dream.Even in America you have at most a couple of hundred maybe a thousand of recharge stations...You will need at least a decade to build the infrastructure for your country so that electric cars become viable. In Europe maybe the small states like Monaco/SanMarino/etc... will do it ..but for the rest of us...its sand in the eyes.

What will happen when Aluminum Batteries go into production?

Kinda thinking about this myself. Will developing nations demand for lithium increase due to more cellphones, laptops and tablets?
>>72982475
Tesla yes. Lithium no.

Many different types, some are shit and cheap. Others are better.

Lithium will remain as a niche market. SLMP and Li-Sulfur will be the next commercial products.
>>72983617
No, by weight batteries and polymer use are the big markets. Small electronics use barely any by weight by cost and are down stream products.
But what do they do with lithium when the batteries don't charge anymore?

Being the parasitic syrup nigger I am I have to ask if you have any reccomendations for how to make a buck on polymers and by weight batteries?
>>72985316
Polymers are the best profit margin lithium products available.
Target single ownership construction distributors. They pay about anything for lithium, specifically lithium hydroxide for ASR.
Getting on plane guys, maybe do another thread when I land.
