Yeah, Paul has been bitching because he was unhappy that Rand lost but now it's time to mend fences and give Trump some conservative cred. Having Texas behind him won't hurt, either.
>>
Ron Paul said he won't even vote for Trump let alone be his VP.
>>
Unfortunately he's still butthurt over Rand losing
>>
>>72959259
>>72959326
he'd get over it if offered the VP slot

guarantee it
>>
>>72959874

Ron actually takes his principles seriously, so I doubt it. Plus he's too old for this shit.
>>
>>72960103

How is denying the VP spot standing on principle?

Only a moron would pass up the opportunity to be one spot from the presidency if one cares about advancing his political agenda.

I don't think he's a moron, personally.
>>
I hope Trump's Son or Daughter runs with him as V.P.
>>
>>72960561
If he cared about advancing his political agenda, he'd still be a Senator.
>>
Oprah should be his VP pick

He gets the black vote and the woman vote

It's a billionaire + billionaire combo of a lifetime. You have two of the most successful people of all time running for the highest office. It's a shoe-in
>>
>>72958949
>Texas
>not voting republican ever
If Trump gets the nomination Texas is begind him
>>
>>72960662
>If he cared about advancing his political agenda, he'd still be a Senator.

so he doesn't care about America?
>>
>>72960797
It's spelled shoo-in.
>>
>>72960797
>You have two of the most successful people of all time running for the highest office. It's a shoe-in
Beloved flopped, even with blacks.

They literally walked out 20 minutes in.
>>
>>72960866
There's no if anymore senpai, he's the nominee. Unless you think KASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH is gonna upset, kek
>>

No more memeing. It's clear there's only one viable VP choice for Trump.
>>
>>72961166
I think he'll nominate Christy.
>>
>>72961605
I'd love to see Krispy Kreme make a comeback. He's probably the only man who can out-eat Kasich.
>>
Make a poll on his VP, guys.I personally vote Webb.
I would make it myself but I don't know everyone from US politics.
>>
>>72960968
he's too old bruh
>>
Isn't he like 110 years old?
>>
I wouldn't mind a Paul, but for some reason they're still being butt-hurt faggots and not working with him. Probably a libertarian thing.
>>
Its probably going to be an oddball choice like Condie Rice. Its probably going to be someone no one expected, because that generates talk and hype.

Ron Paul hates this guy as much as Ron Paul can hate anything. He would not serve as VP... treasurer on the other hand...
>>
>>72961828
>he's too old bruh
Reagan was senile with Alzheimer's and re-elected anyway.

It's going to either be Rubio, Gingrich, or someone we've never heard of. Kasich absolutely will NOT run on Trump's ticket; he's got another two years as governor, and VP is a step down.

Ron Paul is too old, and he won't unify shit. Paul isn't a conservative, he's a libertarian and a committed isolationist. That runs counter to conservatism. Two of the "outsiders" on the ticket won't do any good, either.

A lot of people say it'll be Webb, but Trump won't do that now that Cruz and Kasich have dropped out. He's interested in unifying if it's possible. Webb would just confirm the Republicans' worst fears about Trump when there's a (D) on the ticket.

Gingrich is a good choice. Former Speaker, decent presidential run last time around, eloquent, lots of contacts inside the Beltway, and knows the legislative branch well.

Rubio's good for the same reasons, but also happens to hail from Florida. He's not running for reelection anyway, so a VP run may be something he's considering.
>>
>>72962271
>isolationist
>runs counter to conservatism
Neoconservatism maybe. Ever heard of Pat Buchanan?
>>
>>72960797
this is fucking crazy enough to work, but it won't happen
>>
>>72962271
>Who is Edmund Burke
Educate yourself, conservatism was non kosher once
>>
>>72958949
I would have to pinch myself if this happened.
>>
>>72962484
Yeah, okay. Fair point.
>>
>>72962271
Rubio and Gingrich are pure shit.

Rubio couldn't even win his home state.
>>
>>72962893
And Rubio isn't running for office anymore.

The object of selecting one VP over another is to excite or unite a fragmented section of the party. Rubio or Gingrich would help reconcile butthurt establishment types. The goal is to help turnout.

Ron is not going to do it. Love the guy but he is too emotional and bitter about Trump, plus he will not unify.

TRUMP has WON the NOMINATION. ITS OVER FOLKS. WATCH, Donald Trump "Start Me Up" Only a minute long. DO IT!

>The object of selecting one VP over another is to excite or unite a fragmented section of the party.

Which is why Trump would benefit from Ron Paul.
>>
>>72963500
>he will not unify.

We don't need unification. We need male conservatives to go to the polls on election day.
>>
>>72958949

>A big government finger-in-every-pie moderate liberal is going to team up with a non-interventionist conservative constitutionalist

Yeah, no. Not sure why so many of you even want this considering how different what they both want is. They're practically polar opposites.
>>
>>72963773
>Not sure why so many of you even want this considering how different what they both want is. They're practically polar opposites.

That's the point. Trump would be wise to pair with someone so different. It's good to have differing perspectives to make better choices.
>>
>>72960642
He already said subtly theyre idiots. Hes not taking vp'ing ivanka, and shes the smartest of the rest.
>>
>>72964041

Not how it works. How the fuck are they going to run a general election campaign when they completely disagree with each other fundamentally? If they get asked separate questions and keep throwing out different things that undermine each other, it weakens their ticket. This isn't anime where people will respect them for being rivals or something. There's a reason people don't ever run on tickets that have differing points of view. Precisely because it ISN'T good.
>>
Trump is not a libertarian, Ron Paul is not going to betray his principles just to "stick it to the establishment".
>>
>>72964308

No one pays attention to VP debates.

No one.

All Trump has to do is say he respects Paul's conservative values and convictions — that he plans to have a constructive working relationship.
>>
>>72964831
>Ron Paul is not going to betray his principles

false dilemma fallacy
>>
>rand or ron for trumps vp

there is literally zero percent chance of this happening

he has a higher chance of running without a vp

Because Ron doesn't care about power. He's an old man with a well respected legacy, he isn't going to throw that away to become the cheerleader for an authoritarian president.

Ron will be remembered as the Cato of our time.
>>

You burgers are so retarded. Do you even do politics?

Ron Paul is more like Liberal (librarian you burgers would say) and Trump is protectionist.

Hillary my uneducated burger friend, she is social-liberal, so it is more likely that she will have RP for a VP than Trump.

sight burgers, tip for you, invest more in public education.

Any libertarian worth his salt would agree with most of what Trump says and proposes in the paradigm of operating within current realities of the state. The problem begins when one is ideologically minded - like Ron Paul. He doesn't accept compromise for the sake of eventual long-term goal. For him the end goal is the immediate solution, with as little as possible in between.

Sadly, many libertarians and all influential American libertarians that I know of seem to share the ideological approach of Ron Paul. It would be extremely hard to find a good libertarian VP for Trump - despite the very idea of such a VP being extremely appealing for numerous purposes.
>>
>>72958949
Cruz is the best choice for VP for many reasons.
>>
>>72965910
Everyone in this thread is retarded, including you, for suggesting that based Ron would even waste a second of his remaining life being involved in the absolute shit show that is this term's elections.

If the GOP is serious about making a comeback, they should have given Ron is dues. The man would have beat Obama if they didn't treat him as an outcast at every opportunity possible.

IMO, he can still pull it off. He is the last hope. And it's right now. It won't happen, but let it be known.

Pffft hahahahaha...You fucking idiot.

Trump is a big government stooge. That isn't compromising your beliefs. That is completely throwing them away. He is literally the opposite of libertarian. He's authoritarian.

desu Paul and Trump is better as 2 different factions

Trump = national populist, makes more ideas mainstream like natsoc, racist, alt-right etc.
Paul = Libertarians, now can say "if you hate trump you better support us instead" to the GOP establishment

If Libertarians went full MAGA, it would be easier to squash both. Instead GOPcucks have to deal with 2 legitimate movements, with a lot of overlap. Anything getting evangelicals and neocons out of power is good.

It's like /pol/
more power to both
>>
>>72958949

Trump will pick a minority guy. Probably Carson.
>>
>>72967445
Compare this authoritarian who is also a nationalist, with actual economic progress in mind rather than just the expansion of total wealth at the disposal of J.E.W. of the Fed - compare him to the currently ruling cabal of internationalist authoritarians. Which one is better? Which one has already taken steps to promote personal freedom through absolutely ravaging political correctness and reminding people of the very real problems affecting their life?

His solutions might not be the libertarian choice, however they would pave the way for those to come. The libertarian state cannot be immediately restored from the current state of things; not through any way except an armed popular revolt, which I don't think anyone wants or needs. That's why Trump is needed for something to change.
>>
>>72968391
No, not Carson, because he wants a politician. Also a woman would be better VS Hillary. A minority woman would be good. Whoever it is, he'll pick them so as to take away a monopoly of Hillary's

uneducated burger, please do tell me what in my post is incorrect. With your basless acusation you even prove that you are butthurt uneducated burger.

Your political landscape is so far right, it is perverted mess. Shilary & Demoncrats are social-liberal, Republicans are conservatives. But both parties have their special snowflakes. Democrats have Bernie, which is social-democrat and not socialist. Republicans have liberals (liberals you burgers would say) and Trump now, who is something refreshingly new, a protectionist.

Do you even do politics burger?

Trump is not liberal (libretarian as burgers say)
Trump is protectionist, his policies are protectinost and none who considers himself liberal in his normal state of the mind would agree with Trump.

You operate purely on ad hominem and labels for political views, refusing to apply reality to what is happening. I never stated Trump was libertarian. What I did state however was that should a libertarian rule ever be again possible in USA, Trump would make for a much better precursor than any other candidate still in the race.

Ideology is fine and dandy until it meets with reality.
