The idea that Trump is all just a sort of kingsize political rickrolling - i.e. an Internet-age pseudo-phenomenon for edgy kids who only support him 'ironically' - is actually a piece of bullshit that traitorous lying liberals have used against him almost as often as the 'incites violence' bullshit during this campaign. I believe one of the ship-jumping Republican renegades who is now going with Clinton just tweeted that "the GOP has been trolled.
/Pol/ needs to purge itself of these "we did it lads, we made a meme win the presidency kek" as badly as it needs to purge itself of the stormbabby kids.
Trump's amazing groundswell of mass support is - no meme-ing! - a genuine turning point in the recent history of the West - and it's not an isolated blip either but part of a significant global swing, with the Front National growing here in France, AfD in Germany, massive victories for conservative, nationlist forces in Austria, Poland, Hungary and elsewhere - so /pol/ needs to get its collective head around the fact that we didn't DO anything, we're PART of something - something that could make a lot of things that, five or ten years ago, we thought we could only ironically and melancholically meme about ("Yeah.....THAT's sure gonna happen.") exhilaratingly literal and real. I wonder whether we can handle it.
