Three Southend beaches to BAN BIKINIS this summer in ‘cultural’ trial
Tourism chiefs in Southend On Sea have announced that three beaches on the seafront will run a trial this summer where ladies will be asked to cover up while sunbathing. According to an email that has been seen by Southend News Network, these so-called ‘Modesty Beach Areas’ will be set up to attract visitors from all over the UK who may be uncomfortable with the sight of ‘excessive bare female skin’ for a number of either cultural or religious reasons.

your argument in response to the Bible being a violent book isn't particularly good. You can't point to part of it being non-violent as a reason to suggest the whole thing is non-violent. The Old Testament is still a significant part of Christian faith AND Islamic faith for that matter. For example, the Islamic mega aversion to homosexuality? That's from the story of Sodom and Gommorah (probably sic) originally from Old Testament. There is nothing original in Islam that condemns homosexuality; they just incorporated previous Abrahamaic thought.
